Daily rider or rarely rider? Ebikes are a new experience to many and there are many questions.

Are ebikes easy to ride?
​Yes! Many people find them easier to ride than regular bikes because they give you a boost of power to start off and cruise. If you can ride a bike, you can ride an ebike!

Which ebike should I ride?
The fat-tire RadRover is the larger and most stable ebike. The 4" tires and front suspension make for a smooth ride. It has 7-speed gears for easier travel off-road or up hills. This bike is best for those taller than 5'3".

The RadRunner is a fun and nimble ebike that reminds you of old-school mopeds. It is more responsive and more compact than the Rad Rover.  The step-through design is easy to get on and off and easy to stand over at intersections. The RadRunners feature a passenger seat for twice the fun. This is a single-speed bike with one gear for easiest operation.

How fast do the ebikes go?
Both ebikes are limited to 20 mph electric assist in compliance with Texas Class 2 ebike laws, yet you can travel faster with lots of pedaling!

Must I pedal to go?
Actually, no. The bikes have a twist throttle that can be used with or without pedaling. The Pedal Assist System (PAS) senses when you are pedaling and adds power to the rear wheel based on the assist level you choose.

How far can I go on one charge?
The ebikes have a range of 20 to 45 miles depending on how much you pedal. If you don't pedal at all, most riders can go 20 miles on one charge depending on conditions.

What if the battery runs out of juice?
It's still a bike, albeit heavy, and can be pedaled just like a regular bike. If you feel stranded, we can meet you with a fresh battery for a $15 fee. 

What is the minimum age?
Renters should be at least 18 years old to rent on their own. Minors at least 16 years old can ride with their parents. We offer a Schwinn child trailer that can safely carry two children. Alternatively, a Thule Yepp child seat can be mounted on the back of some of our bikes. Child trailers and seats are for children between 2 and 6 years. The RadRunners are equipped with a passenger seat and footpegs for smaller passengers.

What is the maximum weight?
RadRover has a maximum capacity of 275 lbs.
RadRunner has a maximum passenger and payload capacity of 300 lbs. The passenger seat is limited to 120 lbs.
Child trailers can carry two children up to 40 lbs each.
The Thule child seat can carry one child up to 48 lbs.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes! All adult riders must sign a liability release waiver. For riders or passengers younger than 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for each minor.

What if the bike has mechanical problems?
In the unlikely event of trouble, we will come to you and either repair or swap out the bike at no charge. You will not be charged for any down-time.

What is your cancellation policy?
Totally refundable with 24 hours notice (7 days for group rentals). If the weather turns suddenly or shortens your experience, we will work with you to make everybody happy.

What do I need to ride?
Riders are passengers need to wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Rentals require prepayment by credit card and a photo ID.
